The annual Mardi Gras Gala mirrors the festivities of a traditional Fat Tuesday celebration in the Big Easy, including street performers, fortune tellers, burlesque shows, casino gaming, silent auction, Cajun cuisine, and concert from Free Ride and a Mason Jar, a Baton Rouge born Rockabilly band. Event attire is black-tie or Mardi Gras costume and many revelers come dressed to impress in masques and gowns fit for a Carnival Ball in New Orleans. Visit the Mardi Gras Costume Shop and tell them you are attending the Mardi Gras Gala. They will donate 10% of your costume rental to the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona. Camp Candlelight 2012

Camp Candlelight is a summer camp for children and teens, ages 8-15 with epilepsy. This program, offered through the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona, gives campers the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities, while developing a sense of self-worth, independence and personal responsibility.
Counselor applications due: March 1st, 2012 Camper applications due: May 1st, 2012 The fee for Camp Candlelight is $375 ($350 if entire application is received by April 15th). Fee includes food and lodging. Physical examination is required. Financial assistance may be available for campers who qualify. Space is limited.
To be eligible for Camp Candlelight, a child must:
¯ Have a primary diagnosis of epilepsy
¯ Be ages 8 through 15
¯ Be able to feed, bathe, dress and toilet without assistance
¯ Work well in small groups
If your child meets these eligibility requirements, we welcome you to complete an application for admission to Camp Candlelight. |
